City council seats (2) and mayor’s office are up for election this
fall. Sign up for either office is from August 29th to Sept. 12th, 5
p.m. at clerk’s office in city hall. (September 12th is also primary
election.)
New Business
Need to discuss if all elected city officials will need to go to
training starting in 2007. A two day weekend conference. $265/person,
plus motel, mileage and food. See attached.
Power Point projector from Columbia Gear. Resolution on accepting gift,
see attached.
Election judges appointments, rate of pay that Krain pays ($8/$10) vs
what City of Holdingford pays ($7/$7) judges and head judge.
St. Cloud Times wanting to put up newspaper receptacles for the paper.
Maint. Dept. wants it known that it will not be responsible for any
snow plowing damage to these receptacles. They are not in favor of
these being put up all over town.
Chader Leasing on copier. Information on extending lease on old copier,
new lease on new machine. See info in packet.
Bias property owners would like to sell 16 acres to the City $10,000/A
of frontage on Co. Rd 9 for commercial business. They would give
to the city favorable terms. Did not specify what those terms would be.

matures on 6-26-06 possibly adding $25,000 to CD from Capital
outlay from budget;
W/S Capitalization fund $67,462.50 matures on 8-23-06.
Cyril Ebnet on softball association/park. Policy established for use of park shelter similar to how the city center policy has been established. The city office has been given a summer schedule of who will be using the shelter.
Stearns County Soil and Water board, Urban Conservationist Assistance Program, do we need/want to participate in sharing the cost.
Clean out sewer lines, so no more back up insurance claims. (B.Mader sewer backup).

Postponing of the grand opening of the Wobegon shelter and trail
north of town. Stearns Co. Parks has found a problem with the
trail that needs to be corrected before they will host a grand
opening of the trail.

Jerry's payment instead of insurance revisited Feb minutes state 75% of an HSA premium (which equals for him $273.50/mo), March minutes state 50% of current renewal rate premium (which equals for him $251.96/mo). 55% of current renewal rate premium equals ($277.15) which is closer to the amount stated at the February meeting.

Herman is on vacation June 5, 6, 7, 8, Jerry is scheduled for June 5, 6, 7, 8 schooling same week, come in in the morning and after his school come to work to look at things. (Would be like the same as a weekend, coming in in the morning. Perhaps Mike Odden could have keys to the utility areas, well, waste treatment plant, etc. Jerry would have the cell phone with him. Class is 8 to 4:30. Septic systems training. From installation, design to completion, and private septic systems (such as Scepaniak Industrial park).

Louis Walz wants a change on the resolution 05-01-01, Certificate of Compliance. He wants the statement of the MPCA closure report taken out.
