Minnesota Wastewater Treatment Facility Operational Award
To The City of Holdingford Wastewater Treatment Facility
Based on the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency's (MPCA's)
compliance records for the period October 1, 2007, through September 30, 2008, Holdingford has been
confirmed as the recipient of a Certificate of Commendation for outstanding operation, maintenance
and management of the wastewater treatment system. Congratulations on your efforts to protect the
waters of Minnesota!
This award recognizes you for ensuring:
• That your facility was overseen by a properly certified operator;
• That your facility did not exceed the effluent limits contained in your permit;
• That all of your required monthly and annual reports were timely and complete; and

Winter never seems to be good for the water pipes. Every year we have some water line breaks. not being a water infrastructure friendly month. These were taken of a break in 2006 and show a standard method of fixing a break caused by shifting soil.

On February 17 th , started with a water line break at the water treatment plant in the morning and just before noon. It was reported
a water main break on the corner of 2nd Street and Park Street, on the south end of town. Luck had it Lange's Trenching was able to come over to help out.
With the weather being a fridged -17 degrees below zero with a wind chill of -30 below. They worked until after dark geting it fixed
When the valves connector cracked it blew the valve off the end of the pipe.
